The debris of a Fort (Tipu Sultan Fort) can be seen behind Jumua Masjid, Koottanad.

The Velliyamkallu Heritage Park in Thrithala is close to the Velliamkallu bridge cum regulator and offers beautiful views of River Nila (Bharatapuzha). The park has swings and slides for children, and visitors can access the riverbank. Children enjoy wading through the shallow waters. The park is open from 9 am to 6 pm and entry is free.

Kattil Madam Temple is a dilapidated shrine in Palakkad district, believed to be a Jain temple built around the 9th or 10th century AD. It is located on the Pattambi–Guruvayur road.
